Why was the PWSTC created? As students, we could see the budgeting crisis that was facing the state of Michigan affecting our education, so we tried to think of a creative way to fix the problems that we were facing. We therefore created the Pewamo-Westphalia Students Take Charge (PWSTC) to improve our OWN education. Through the generosity of our community, we have begun to lift some of the burden of our yearly budget, which is funded with state and federal money, and open up more opportunities for all students. We raise money for everything from classroom supplies and reading books to larger things such as musical instruments and video equipment. PW is a great place to learn, and graduates have gone on to do great things. And because of our dedicated community members, PW continues to provide an excellent education and is a focal point of the community, despite the budgeting cuts. However, we are not done yet. With your sustained help, we can continue to make PW even better!

Our MissionIt is the mission of PWSTC to give every student the resources that he or she will need to succeed not only in the classroom, but in life as well. Through projects, donations, and fundraising, we provide tools for students to grow academically and personally.

Who is the PWSTC?
PWSTC is an organization that represents the entire student body of Pewamo-Westphalia Community Schools. Under the guidance of Mr. Rehmann, students Zach Smith and Charlie Bierstetel became the leaders of this non-profit organization. Once the vision for the PWSTC and the purpose was created, Zach and Charlie recruited top students from other classes to represent and expand the organization. The organization has remained a big part of the school since it was established in 2011, and each year new leaders have stepped up to fill the leadership roles.
